Guidehouse, the global consulting firm, has announced its plans to open a new office in Chennai. According to The Economic Times, this step will lead to 2,000 more employees joining the company’s ranks. This new centre is geared towards developing digital capabilities for managed service engagement projects. Charles Beard, Guidehouse COO, emphasizes the importance of growing their presence in India by leveraging local talent. There are similar plans by Daimler Truck involving their Bengaluru R&D Centre: an additional 750 specialists are expected and these experts will be focused on product engineering and information technology roles. As of now, the center holds 2,200 engineers.
